Another famous hack was the unlimited ammunition, which some players applied for RPGs. ![]() The most frequent hack was the speed hacking, which enabled players to move and sprint a lot faster than normal speed. Until very recently hacking was rampant in Modern Combat 3. Another rarely seen hack was one that allowed the cheater to see and kill players with an RPG-7 while remaining completely outside of the skybox. Another, uncommon hack was the wallhack, allowing cheaters to see and shoot through walls. By far the most common hack was a simple speedhack, allowing cheaters to use powerful weapons such as the M249 while overcoming the balancing movement penalty incurred. The fact that MCV doesn't have this when this company has made so many games is just insane. For a period of time, hacking was a major issue in Modern Combat 2. You merely flag for review, auto-ban or kill anyone that is moving faster than they should. Įdit: Just to clarify, for anyone reading this, speed hack prevention is probably the easiest thing a game dev can impliment. You might as well Alt-F4 if you run into him. I think the most disgusting part about this is that he was account level 29, which means that he has been playing for quite some time and you've done NOTHING about him. Of course he was using Blaze, so he just ran around the map, tagging people and since Blaze can kill most characters just by slightly tapping his flamethrower, he killed everyone and got a massive score. ![]() Are you kidding me, devs? You don't have an automatic speed hack detection? How have you made this many games and not have such a basic anti-cheat measure in MCV? I just played against someone that was using a speed hack that made him run maybe 100 times faster than he normally would when he sprints.
